Disaster Rehabilitation

Ashrams and spiritual organisations are the backup support for the community. The police and the army can save lives, but it is the volunteers who wipe the tears.

There is a team of volunteers (Aapath-bandhavas) ready for action when needed, and a fund is available to support them.

Our college students and volunteers served tirelessly in the earthquake-hit Gujarat, tsunami-hit Tamil Nadu, and cyclone-hit Andhra Pradesh and Orissa (including building a whole new ‘Rishi Prabhakar Hamlet’ in Orissa) and the flood-hit Mantralayam.
