Transformation of a country lies in transformation of it's villages. This is our experience in our rural development projects where we bring awareness among rural folk to make their villages prosperous and self-sufficient.

The Bachelor's Degree programme in Inspirational Leadership for Rural Development (ILRD) conferred by Dharwad University qualifies the students to revolutionise the villages by social awakening. This Degree programme is inspired by Padma Bhushan Shri Anna Hazare who has converted Ralegaon Siddhi into a model village. He has set an example by being one of them to act as a coherent force and reconstruct the entire village.

A Bachelor's Degree programme in rural Development has been started in 1996 under Karnataka University to develop leadership for transformation of Rural India. 20 villages have been taken up in the initial project development stage. Every year, a Geometrically increasing number of villages will be taken up as more teachers are trained.

This involves Educational, Medical, Agricultural, Dairy and Artisan development through schools, Agricultural and Dairy Co-operatives, Youth groups and Women Self-help groups. SSY is being taught to hundreds of children in schools and is being regularly practiced as a part of the curriculum. 15 to 20% enhancement in grades have been recorded in schools within 4 months of practice.
